Thanksgiving Hand Turkeys

We all did it as kids. Made turkey’s by tracing our hands on construction paper, I mean. It’s basically a rite of childhood here in America. So of course I was excited to do this with Zoey.

I first attempted it about a week ago. I was feeling lazy so we just traced hands and colored in the “feathers” on the fingers. It was fun but not too exciting. So I decided to jazz it up a bit. This time I visited the craft store first and bought some real feathers. Construction paper + glue stick + feathers = happy toddler craft time! It was fun for me too, and a great way to sneak in some much needed alone time with my big girl during the little one’s nap. This craft could not be simpler. I highly recommend you give it a try.
