My mom always went all out for even the smallest holidays when we were growing up, making them really fun for us kids. One of the most prevalent memories I have is of the window clings. She had them for every holiday and season, including Memorial and Labor Day and St. Patrick’s Day. In fact, I think the only holiday left uncelebrated and undecorated was Groundhog’s Day. Like so many other things from my childhood, my mom saved all these window clings and they have been passed on to me and my kids.
Let me tell you, there are fewer greater joys in a toddler’s life than “stickers” that you can stick and peel and restick as many times as you want. And on the windows! Mom said it was okay!
