…clap your hands.
I am ecstatic that Eleanor learned to clap on Sunday. It’s one of my favorite baby milestones, because it’s just so darn cute! You can see in her face how proud she is of her new trick and I’m ridiculously proud of her too.
In fact, my Mama Pride cup is overflowing this weekend because…
That beautiful masterpiece right there just happens to be Zoey’s very first handwriting. The letters Z and E, to be precise. Executed completely by herself, with minimal advising from mom on placement of lines. I am so stinking proud of her I can’t even tell you.
Zoey does, in fact, know and recognize all of the letters of the alphabet, both uppercase and lowercase. She can recognize (i.e. read) her name, “Mom,” “dad,” and “Eleanor.” It’s not like we’re doing ABC flashcards over here either – this kid just desperately wants to be able to read. She’s going to be doing just that sooner than any of us ever imagined.
